Amazing experience. Husband/wife duo that are very kind and accommodating, especially as we stopped in late at night. The food was very fresh and made to order. My steak was incredible, and it would be hard to find one of that quality back at home, especially for the price. Highly recommend!

One of the best meals we had in France! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience - the service was great, and every dish we ordered was incredible. Our server told us all the ingredients were freshly bought from the local market, and you can truly taste it!

Amazing. We walked pass and decided to come back and that was the best decision. The lovely couple that runs the place serve simple but hearty food, freshly prepared and a lot of attention paid to the details. The starters were absolutely delicious. The homemade foie gras was undoubtedly the best I’ve had when it comes to bistros and casual eateries - smooth, fragrant and flavorful, without any unwanted smells. The octopus was presented beautifully, simply seasoned with salt, paprika, lemon, and olive oil - fresh and perfect with a glass of sangria on the side. Main course was decent. Pork tenderloin was a bit dry but still tasty. The prawns were very fresh and grilled to perfection. This is the place to go if you want something nice and hearty in a quiet and lovely setting.

I visited Café Luna with my mom on our last night in Lyon, and I must say, it was the perfect way to end our trip! We had been traveling across Europe for 40 days, and this turned out to be one of the most memorable meals of the entire journey. The place was incredibly cozy, and the food was simply divine. But what truly set this spot apart was the wonderful service provided by the hosts. We had such meaningful conversations, shared heartwarming stories, and felt completely at home. It’s such a rare and beautiful experience to feel so connected with someone from another country (we came from China). I don’t usually write reviews, but this place is such a hidden gem that I’d feel like I was betraying my fellow travelers if I didn’t. If you’re in Lyon, you must go!

Tiny place with more seating across the street. It’s a hubby-wifey kinda place and the food is outstanding ! I had octopus Mallorca style and a duck fois gras with hot toast. The foie gras was exquisitely delicate. Cozy place. Recommended!

Café Luna is a true gem! This place perfectly blends a cozy atmosphere with outstanding food and wine at a very reasonable price. The service is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I chose the andouillette and paired it with a few glasses of the house wine, and every bite was perfection. I then indulged in the chef's dessert with a glass of cava, which was the ideal sweet ending to my meal. The flavors were truly a 10 out of 10. What really stood out, though, were the owners. They were so kind and made my dinner feel less like a restaurant visit and more like a great, comforting home dinner.

Great atmosphere and great food: we ordered cheese - the local and Spanish one - and octopus with paprika and we liked everything. The dessert, crepes, was delicious. The lady was very kind: she even knew some words in Italian. Extremely recommend!

My spouse read about Cafe Luna's excellent reputation and we were pleased that they were open for an early dinner on Sunday evening. We arrived and the server/hostess toldus that our dinner might be slow as they had a large party right ahead of us. Since we had no obligations we sat down. The chef and the server were the only staff. The space is small but intimate, and the outdoor tables were quiet. We had wine and passed the time leisurely. The server and chef would both attend tables and answer questions. Our meals were fresh and flavorfull. English was not a problem for the staff. When we left, the chef came out to bid us adieu. This is what slow food is, and Cafe Luna is perfect to slow down and savor Lyon.
